## Course Description:

Unit 1: Essential Content and Skills Write ratios and solve proportions. Use AA, SAS, and SSS similarity statements and relationships in similar right triangles. Apply the Side-Splitter Theorem and Triangle-Angle-Bisector Theorem. Employ the properties of Use sine, cosine, and tangent ratios to determine side lengths in triangles. Solve problems using angles of elevation and depression. Describe vectors and use vector addition. Unit 2: Essential Content and Skills Identify isometries. Find translation and reflection images of figures. Identify and draw rotation images of figures. Recognize the type of symmetry in a figure. Unit 3: Essential Content and Skills Find the perimeters and areas of similar figures and the area of polygons using trigonometry. Use the Law of Sines and the Law of Cosines. Find circumference, arc length, and the measures of central angles and arcs. Discover the area of circles, sectors, and segments of circles. Conclude the probability of events. Examine space figures and cross sections. Determine the surface area of a prism, a cylinder, a pyramid, and a cone. Unit 4: Essential Content and Skills Find the volume of a prism, a cylinder, a pyramid, and a cone as well as the surface area and volume of a sphere. Determine relationships between the ratios of the areas and volumes of similar solids. Use the relationship between a radius and a tangent and between two tangents from one point. Employ congruent chords, arcs, and central angles. Locate the measure of an inscribed angle as well as an angle formed by a tangent and a chord.
